Design & Drafting
From sketch to cut-ready, without the back and forth
Great Parts Start on the Screen
Most delays in manufacturing start before the laser even turns on: unclear drawings, wrong file formats, parts that don’t quite fit together. We fix that at the source.
Our in-house drafting turns your idea into clean, cut-ready files, designed for how the part will actually be cut, folded, welded and assembled. You don’t need to be a CAD expert. A sketch, a photo or a sample is enough to get started.
Start With Whatever You’ve Got
From a sketch or idea: A hand drawing, a photo or a description of what you need. We’ll turn it into a proper drawing.
From a sample part: Got a part that’s worn, broken or discontinued? We’ll measure it up and draft it so it can be cut again.
From existing files: Already have drawings? We’ll check them, clean them up and make them cut-ready.
Complete kits and assemblies: Multi-part projects drafted as a set, so everything lines up when it arrives.
Less Time on the Bench
A part that cuts well isn’t always a part that assembles well. We design with both in mind, building in features like tabs, slots and self-locating joints where it suits the job, so parts find their own position and your assembly time drops.
The result is fewer measurements, less fiddling and less rework, which means less time in your workshop and more time getting the job finished.
Where tube is involved, we can add notches and profiles so sections fit tightly and are ready to weld.
What We Need From You

What You Get
A cut-ready drawing for your approval before anything is cut
Cut-ready files for our laser DXF / STEP
Practical advice on material, thickness and cost savings
Clear, itemised pricing for the whole job
We draft in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, and we can work with most common file types, including DXF, DWG and STEP among others.

No. A sketch, photo or sample is enough to start. We’ll draft it and quote it together.
-
Yes. Send it in or drop it off and we’ll measure it, draft it and cut a replacement.
-
It depends on complexity. Simple parts can be turned around quickly, and larger projects are scoped with you up front.
-
Yes. We’ll flag anything that could cause cutting or assembly problems before it costs you time or material.
