This policy explains how Laser360 Pty Ltd (“Laser360”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit our website, request a quote or do business with us. We’re a small Orange-based business, and we handle your information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles as a matter of good practice.
2. WHAT WE COLLECT
• Contact details: your name, email, phone number, business name and address.
• Job details: what you need made, quantities, materials, deadlines and any notes you give us.
• Files you send us: drawings, sketches, photos and CAD files.
• Billing information: quotes, invoices and payment records. We don’t collect or store card details through our website.
• Website data: IP address, device and browser details and pages visited, collected through cookies and analytics provided by our website platform.
• Communications: emails, messages and notes of calls between you and us.
3. HOW WE COLLECT IT
Mostly directly from you: through our website contact form, by email or phone, or in person at our workshop. Some website data is collected automatically when you browse. If we receive information about you from someone else (for example, a referral from a customer), we’ll only use it to respond to your enquiry.
4. WHY WE USE IT
• To quote, draft, cut and deliver your job.
• To invoice you, process payments and keep accurate business records.
• To communicate with you about your enquiry or order.
• To meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations.
• To keep our website working and improve our services.
• To send occasional updates about Laser360, only if you’ve asked for them. You can opt out at any time.
5. YOUR DRAWINGS AND FILES
Drawings, designs and files you send us are treated as confidential. We use them only to quote and complete your job, and we don’t share them with other customers. We may keep them on file so repeat orders are quick. Our Terms of Trade explain who owns drawings that we create for you.
6. WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with people who help us run the business, and only as much as they need. These may include:
• website, hosting and form providers (Squarespace);
• email and file storage providers (Microsoft);
• accounting and invoicing software (Xero);
• couriers and freight providers, when we deliver your parts;
• professional advisers such as accountants, insurers and lawyers; and
• government agencies or others, where the law requires it.
7. OVERSEAS STORAGE
Some of these providers store information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose reputable providers with appropriate security, and we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected.
8. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
Our website uses cookies to make the site work and to understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.
9. SECURITY AND HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION
We store information in password-protected systems and limit access to people who need it. We keep records for as long as we need them to complete your job and meet legal requirements. No system is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive personal details through our contact form.
